I don’t know much about homeschool philosophy, teaching methods and curriculum choices. Can you tell me of a good resource to read either on the internet or a book to read. We are Christians and want a christian Curriculum for sure.

In Illinois, a home school is considered a private school, so I may home school anyone. My student is a 16 year old, soon to be an emancipated minor. Illinois does not recognize emancipated minor status educationallly. My student would not be allowed to test for GED here until 2009! Even though she is legally an adult!
Please advise. Are there any states that will test her early?

Also, does anyone know how to get a pell grant with a home school diploma?

If the children are failing in public school, and the parents are receiving food stamps. Is it alright for the mother to quit her minimum wage job to home school 5 kids while still receiving food stamps and medicaid. She would still get this support if she were working.
